Alina Danielle Tatum was born June 16,1988 in Greenville, Tx. She is the youngest of Michelle and Lewis Tatum's three children. When she was 3 years old Alina's family moved to Sulphur Springs,
Texas. Shortly after the move her singing career began. At
the age of 5 Alina started singing at and helping with various fund
raisers. When singing in church she had to stand on a chair to reach
the microphone. Alina soon became known as the "Little
Girl with A Big Voice" as she performed numerous Texas towns
and in other states. Alina’s Unique Voice has taken her from Coast to Coast. She performed in the West Coast Premier the “Last of The Honky Tonk Angels". The play, written by Ronnie Claire Edwards and directed by David Galligan, was performed at The Globe Theater in West Hollywood. While in California Alina was a featured singer at Café Roma in Beverly Hills, California. Alina won an acting role on “DAYS OF OUR LIVES” in which she played the character of Belinda. She participated in Celebrity Bingo as part of special entertainment. Alina has also performed at “The Cowboy Palace”, on the Skippy Lowe TV Show, the Skeeter Mann Show KCLA Radio, and at Café U’Zine Kulak’s Woodshed. Several critics and The L. A. Times tagged her as “The Perky Child Star, with a voice of Pure Gold!" On the East Coast Alina won the Gold medal for Overall Talent Winner at the American Talent Showcase held at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Returning to Texas Alina won the Title of “Rural American Idol”. She continued acting with a part as a flight attendant in the television series LAX, starring Heather Locklear. Alina’s outstanding voice earned her a spot at The 2001 Black Tie and Boots Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. She shared the stage with Clint and Lisa Black, Ricky Skaggs, Ray Benson, Asleep at The Wheel, Tanya Tucker, and others. January 19, 2001 was declared Alina Tatum Day by proclamation of the Mayor of Sulphur Springs, TX. The Hopkins County judge presented Alina with a Resolution from the State of Texas. Other accolades include being named an Honorary Deputy by The Sheriff of Hopkins County. In addition to singing and songwriting Alina's interests include playing her guitar, riding her four wheeler, horseback riding, and modeling. Alina is always in demand for opening special events with her strong rendition of the National Anthem. She has opened for some of the country's best bands and singers including Brad Pasley, Asleep At The Wheel, Dan Seals, Michael Martin Murphy, Gene Watson, Janie Frickie, and others. Alina has appeared on Good Morning America, Good Day Fox, NBC 56, KLTV Channel 7, Tyler, Tx. and Fox 29. She performed at the McDonald Tribute for 911, and the Texas Cares Tribute for 911. Alina also opened for Neal McCoy at the McDonald’s Big Bass Splash held at Lake Sam Rayburn, with over 30,000 in attendance.
